Memory game
Four colors. One growing chain. Don't let it slip.
Watch the colors light up on the big screen, then repeat them on your phone. Every round adds one more color to the chain, so how long can you keep it going?
Free, no sign-up. Open it on a TV or laptop and everyone joins from their phone.
The idea
Color Chain is a memory game for the whole room. The big screen shows four blocks, blue, green, yellow and red, and lights them up one at a time, each with its own note. When it's done, every phone turns into the same four blocks, and everyone taps the colors back in the same order. Each round is the same chain plus one more color, so it gets harder without ever changing the rules. You score 10 points for every correct color from the start of the chain, up to your first mistake. Nobody is knocked out: slip up and you still play the next round. The host picks how many colors the first round has and how many rounds to play. Nobody sees the right answer until the reveal, so you can't copy it from a friend's screen, only from their face.
Step by step
The host picks how many colors the first round has (2, 3 or 4) and how many rounds to play (5, 10 or 15).
Watch the big screen. The blocks light up one at a time, each with its own sound.
When your phone shows the four blocks, tap the colors in the same order. Your answer goes in with your last tap.
You get 10 points for each correct color from the start, up to your first mistake. Then the big screen shows the right sequence.
The next round is the same chain plus one more color. The most points after the last round wins.

Everyone answers on their own phone at the same time, so it plays the same alone or with a full room. The biggest laughs come with a group trying to remember the chain together.
Tips & tricks
The blocks are in the same places on the TV and on your phone, so remember positions as well as colors.
Say the colors in your head as they light up, or turn them into a little tune.
Split a long chain into groups of three. It's easier to remember than one long line.
Your first colors are worth the most, because a mistake stops the count. Get the start right.
You get more time as the chain grows, so take a breath before you start tapping.
